Before Your Appointment
Pre-Care Instructions
- If you get cold sores or have a history of Herpes Simplex please let youโre your provider aware so they can pretreat you with medication
- Medicated Creams (such as glycolic, tretinoin and retinols) that increase photsensitivity should be stopped one week prior to treatment. Accutane is contraindicated for 6 months prior to Morpheus8 treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure at least 1 week before to avoid skin sensitivity & wear SPF daily.
- On the day of your treatment, shower as normal and clean your face and neck but do not apply anything on the skin after showering.
- Avoid anticoagulants for at least 1 week prior to treatment, if medically permitted.

What Happens During the Procedure?
You will arrive 1 hour early to your appointment time to numb the area. Then the numbing will be removed and you will be offered ProNox. ProNox delivers a safe mixture of 50% nitrous oxide and 50% oxygen for a pain-free experience. You control the amount you need, and the effects of the ProNox clears your system in only a few minutes following the treatment. You procedure will take approximately about 1 hour depending on how large the treatment area is. Some patients experience minor pinprick bleeding after the treatment, but the micro-injuries are so tiny and they heal rapidly.
Post-Procedure
- Avoid applying any product to the treated area for at least 12-24 hours, unless instructed by your provider.
- As soon as your skin heals you can apply moisturizer, sunscreen and may use makeup.
- Downtime is minimal and typical ranges from 1-5 days
- We recommend a package of 3 treatments for best results at an interval of 3-6 weeks.
